A Plea

Dear god of Infant Sleep,

What did we do wrong? And what can we do to make it up to you?

Yours truly,
Mama

  1. I read these lack-of-sleep posts and am immediately back to 2004, completely and utterly exhausted due to Ryan's inability to close his eyes for more than 20 minutes at a time. It was a pretty hellish time, so I completely feel you pain! Just know that, eventually, it will pass....hopefully sooner than later!

  2. I agree with Jenn--it will pass. I promise. And each day you go through this is just another day closer to when it will all be over. One day he'll just sleep through the night. And before you know it, you'll be tucking him into his big-boy bed and reading him a bedtime story as he gets himself to sleep. Then one day he'll tell you he is too old for bedtime stories. This is just a phase that will pass all too quickly, and one day you and Keith will look back and wish for the days when he was so small, having completely fogotten the sleep deprivation that comes with it. So hang in tere and hang on for dear life. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. And time never seems to go quickly in the throes of a difficult stage, but I assure you it really is.
